Child Development (B-K)

30 Credit Hours

The MAT in Child Development (Birth to Kindergarten) is designed for college graduates to earn a license from the NC Department of Public Instruction to work in child care facilities. This program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and approved by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.

Elementary Education (K-6)

30 Credit Hours

The MAT in Elementary Education is designed for college graduates to earn a license from the NC Department of Public Instruction to teach in elementary schools (Grades K-6). This program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and approved by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.

Family Consumer Sciences

30 Credit Hours

The MAT in Family and Consumer Sciences is designed for college graduates to earn a license from the NC Department of Public Instruction to teach courses in family and consumer sciences (Grades K-12). This program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and approved by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.

Health & Physical Education (K-12)

The MAT in Health and Physical Education is designed for college graduates to earn a license from the NC Department of Public Instruction to teach health and physical education courses (Grades K-12). The MAT in Special Education General Curriculum is designed for college graduates to earn a license from the NC Department of Public Instruction to teach students with special needs (Grades K-12).
